Medicare and Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)

 

Medicare is a publicly-funded universal health care insurance scheme in Australia. Each individual under Medicare is eligible to up to 5 consultations per year to see any Allied Health professional using an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan. Using the EPC, the individual receives their Exercise Physiology service at a heavily discounted rate. You must consult your local GP first to receive an EPC referral.

DVA is a department of the Government of Australia responsible for delivering programs for war veterans, the Australian Defence Force, the Australian Federal Police, and their dependants. Those under DVA are bulk billed.
